These days most companies have a web site, however very few of them can be said to
provide concrete, measurable value to the business. This is because it is not the job
of the design agency who built it to ensure it’s useful:- it’s your job. You don’t have
to be a technician to take control of your site any more than you have to be a mechanic to
own a car. There are a few simple things you need to know, a few simple questions to ask,
and a few simple numbers to obtain. Anyone can do it, no specialist knowledge is required.
The only reason most managers are not doing it is that no one has shown them how. An important part
of what you will learn is basic e-metrics - the measurement of different factors and statistics
from your web site, in order to take informed and effective action.
This seminar explains in simple, non-technical terms how to take control and extract
measurable value from your web site.
Working on the basis that any business activity should
generate more than it costs, you will learn:
What simple numbers indicate your site’s performance, and how to get them.
Which forms of online advertising are cost-effective, and how to measure them.
What key management steps to take so that you can control your web site activities. |
The seminar was delivered by Brandt Dainow, director of Think UK, in November 26, 2002.

anyone to understand. Brandt has an international reputation for helping organisations manage their
internet systems effectively. His clients include Numerica, Microsoft, the UN, BT, Ford, Safeway,
and many others. The event was fun, stimulating, and surprising
This seminar was sponsored by the accounting firm, Numerica, and held at their head office in London to a select invited audience. We are now pleased to offer this presentation to you. If you have any questions regarding it, please do not hesitate to email seminars@think.uk.com or phone us.
