Contract agreed to help secure Henley Business School’s status as a top-tier apprenticeship provider

Henley Business School has extended its contract with leading skills specialist Think to support the ongoing delivery of its successful apprenticeship programme to thousands of learners.

The partnership will see Think’s team of sector experts build on Henley Business School’s recent progress to become one of the largest, most impactful providers of apprenticeships for senior leaders and managers*.

Henley Business School expects to deliver around 1,000 apprenticeship starts in leadership and management disciplines this academic year, building on more than 3,000 starts delivered up to the end of the last academic year.

The agreement with Think focuses on scaling delivery, improving compliance and operations, and strengthening client engagement. It comes at a time of fresh government focus on offering employers more options on apprenticeships to drive skills, productivity and economic growth.

“Our partnership with Henley Business School comes at an important time for employers and is firmly focused on delivering tangible growth and impact for them,” said Mark Hayes, Director at Think.

“We know from speaking with employers and learners who have worked with us before that Henley’s delivery of apprenticeships is giving their teams the professional development that modern teams and future leaders need.

“The nature of work and employers’ and learners’ priorities is also changing rapidly, with many younger learners now looking at fantastic opportunities available through apprenticeships to progress their careers.

“Our partnership will respond to this build on Henley’s presence in senior leader and management programmes, by also supporting young learners in their career journeys.

“We’re proud to support them on that journey with Henley’s clients, staff and learners.”

Henley Business School’s apprenticeship clients include Lloyds Bank, Vodafone, The NHS and the Civil Service.

David Stannard, Henley Business School’s Director of Compliance and Governance said: “With more than 100,000 alumni in 160 countries, we are proud of our track record of helping employers advance their ambitions.

“Apprenticeships are a central part of our drive to meet employers’ needs. This partnership with Think combines our delivery and market presence with the team’s expertise, resource and insight to deliver impact where it matters for today’s businesses.”

Think has supported Henley’s apprenticeship journey since 2016, helping to shape its apprenticeship strategy, engaging around 500 employers and developing operational systems to support apprenticeship delivery.

Henley is among the 1% of business schools in the world to hold triple-accredited status from the UK, European and US awarding bodies. Its apprenticeships are rated Good by Ofsted in all areas. Programmes, such as the Tech Industry Gold accredited MSc Digital and Technology Solutions, are designed to transform businesses and future-proof teams.
