Grŵp Llandrillo Menai
Project Overview
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai (GLLM) was established in 2012 following the merger of Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK, delivering to around 21,000 learners across North and North West Wales, employing 1700 staff, with an annual turnover of £69 million. Estyn (the Welsh inspectorate) rates GLLM’s performance as ‘good’ with ‘excellent’ prospects for improvement.
GLLM engaged THINK to develop its response to reforms in the English levy market. GLLM is a major provider of apprenticeships in Wales delivering to around 2000 learners annually, supported by funding allocated by the Welsh Government.
What our client said
"The work produced for us by THINK, and the various discussions we had, was hugely useful for us at GLLM. The analysis was insightful and the knowledge base at THINK was very impressive. As an organisation, we are now much better informed as we seek potential partners and acquisitions."
— Dafydd Evans, Chief Executive Officer, Grŵp Llandrillo Menai
